Samantha wondered why it took her 15 years to be on that stage to thank the Telugu community. "I never got the chance to thank you. You made me your own from my very first film. You have only given me love. I can't believe it has taken me 15 years to come here and say thank you (bows her head). Although it's been 15 years, I think I have come here at an important stage of my career. I am not even surprised that the people who loved and appreciated Subham (2025) the most were the Telugu community of North America. I am truly grateful. I wasn't even surprised."

Samantha thanks them for not letting go, weeps

The actor thanked her fans for being with her throughout her journey and never letting go of her. "Every step I took, every mistake I made, you still didn't let go of me. I am truly appreciative of that. Wherever I go, whatever I do and whichever industry I work in, the first thought which comes to my mind before making any decision is, 'Will the Telugu audiences be proud of me or not?' Thank you for supporting me through this long journey. You gave me an identity, a home and a sense of belonging. I truly mean that from the bottom of my heart," she added. As she concluded her speech, an emotional Samantha started crying.

Towards the end of her speech, Samantha remembered how her 2019 film Oh! Baby earned over a million dollars in the US and called it a sign of the Telugu community’s love. She became emotional and was seen tearing up on stage.

Meanwhile, actor Allu Arjun also attended another Telugu community event hosted by the North American Telugu Society (NATS) in Florida.

On the work front, Samantha will next be seen in Rakt Bramhand, a Netflix series directed by Raj and DK. The actress began her career as a model while pursuing a degree in commerce, before making her acting debut in the 2010 Telugu romantic drama Ye Maaya Chesave. Her performance earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South. In 2012, she achieved the rare feat of winning both the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Tamil and Best Actress – Telugu in the same year, for her roles in Neethaane En Ponvasantham and Eega, respectively.

Over the years, she went on to star as the female lead in several commercially successful films including Dookudu (2011), Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (2012), Attarintiki Daredi (2013), Kaththi (2014), Theri (2016), 24 (2016), Mersal (2017), and Rangasthalam (2018).

Her role in A Aa (2016) won her a fourth Filmfare Award, while she received widespread acclaim for her performances in Mahanati (2018), Oh! Baby (2019), Super Deluxe (2019), and Majili (2019). In 2021, her work in the Amazon Prime Video thriller The Family Man earned her the Filmfare OTT Award.

Following a brief phase of critical and commercial setbacks, Samantha made a comeback with the action series Citadel: Honey Bunny (2024). Beyond acting, she is the founder of the charitable organisation Pratyusha Support and is set to make her debut as a producer with the film Subham (2025).
