Vishwamangalya Sabha Meeting Highlights Contemporary Motherhood and Cultural Values

Vishwamangalya Sabha’s two-day Prabodhan Meeting, held on July 25–26 at NI-MSME, Yousufguda, Hyderabad, emerged as a significant platform for cultural reflection, social thought and national consciousness, bringing together nearly 150 karyakartas and leaders from across South India.

The Sunday sessions at Komaram Bheem Adivasi Bhavan and Sevalal Banjara Bhavan were centered on the theme “Yuganukul Maatrutva” — Contemporary Motherhood — under the Sabha’s guiding ideals of Sanskar, Samarthya, Sadachar and Seva. Women delegates, mothers and community leaders played a visible role in the discussions, giving the event a strong social and cultural character.

The valedictory session was addressed by RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat, who described motherhood as the very foundation of creation, nurturance and human continuity. In a tone that blended tradition with reflection, he underlined that India’s civilisational depth gives greater meaning to present-day debates on family, womanhood and social responsibility.

Bhagwat said India’s long cultural journey has shaped family life, social values and everyday conduct, and that any discussion on motherhood must be viewed in this larger national context. He stressed that marriage is the foundation of family life and that values are rooted in sacrifice, responsibility and mutual respect.

Reaffirming equality, he said men and women stand equal in society, while also recognising women’s unique creative strength. He drew from India’s reverence for Shakti to stress that women must never be viewed as subordinate, and warned against both blind attachment to outdated customs and uncritical imitation of Western models.

The meeting was guided by Vishwamangalya Sabha founder Pujaniya Shri Jitendranath Maharaj, National Sangathan Mantri Dr. Vrushali Joshi, Prashant G. Holkar, National President Nalini Hawade, National Vice-President Suraj G. Damor, Reception Committee President Bhagwati Baldwa and Joint Secretary Shruti Boddupalli.

The strong participation of women delegates and maternal figures from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala gave the gathering a grounded, people-centric tone. For many participants, the Baithak became not just an organisational meeting, but a call to preserve Indian values while responding confidently to the changing times.
