Severe Rainfall Alert Issued for Telangana: IMD Warns of Heavy Downpour Across Multiple Districts

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a severe rainfall warning for Telangana. It predicts widespread heavy to very heavy rains across several districts over the next 48 hours. Citizens should stay alert as the monsoon intensifies in the state.

⚠️ Districts on High Alert
According to the IMD’s latest bulletin, Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Nalgonda, Khammam, and Hyderabad are among the districts expected to receive intense rainfall, along with thunderstorms, strong winds, and lightning.

Orange Alert: Issued for Hyderabad, Warangal, Khammam  
Yellow Alert: For surrounding districts and southern Telangana

🚨Government Response  
The Telangana Disaster Management Authority (TSDMA) has told local authorities to activate emergency response teams. Officials are monitoring low-lying and flood-prone areas, especially in urban zones like Hyderabad and Warangal.

Schools in some districts may need to close temporarily if the rainfall worsens. Citizens are encouraged to:
